My card today is one that we made at Abbey's workshop last week. The card uses one of the stamps that you can get FREE during Sale-a-bration!! It is the Triple Treat Flower stamp. You can also purchase it in the Idea Book and Catalog but if you place a $50 order, the stamp can be yours for FREE. I love the versatility of this stamp. I stamped it twice using my Pacific Point stamp pad and Melon Mambo. Then I used the Fancy Flower punch and punched out the Pacific Point flower. I used the 5 Petal Flower punch for the inside Melon Mambo section. Some dimensionals help to pop the flower up! I also added some dimension with my Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder and my Big Shot.

I hope you are having a fun weekend! I had a chance to make several cards today and this was one of them. It has been an extremely hectic week at school. I've been working on report cards non-stop for the past few weeks so it was nice to have some me time today. I love this new Mixed Bunch stamp set and the new Blossom punch. I was playing around with different colors and really like how the Concord Crush and Daffodil Delight look together.

I used Lucky Limeade and Pool Party cardstock for the base of my card and my flowers. After punching my flowers out with the new Blossom Punch, I ran them through the Big Shot and the Finial Press embossing folder. The center of my flower was stamped in Pool Party ink with the Fresh Vintage Stamp set (another Sale-a-bration free product). The adorable brad can also be yours for free as it is included in the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad pack. "Thank you" is from one of my favorite sets called Short and Sweet.

More Occasions Mini New Products

Hi Friends,
Hope you are having a good weekend so far! Today's project was made using the Hearts Framelits. I cut out two of the largest hearts and attached them together around the edges using Sticky Strip but I left a small opening for a few pieces of chocolate. I used one more heart in Pirouette Pink and embossed it with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. The next sized heart was made with my Big Shot and the Scalloped Heart of Hearts embossilit die. I stamped the heart in Real Red using the new stamp set Take It to Heart and cut it out by hand. Then I attached it with some Stampin' Dimensionals.

The New Labels Collection!

Today's card uses another one of the new Framelits - the Labels Collection. The collection comes with six dies, my card shows you three of the sizes. The largest one is 5 7/16 inches wide. This is the only card I've made with this collection so I am looking forward to trying it out in so many different ways. I've also used the new pleated ribbon which is so pretty in person! My colors are Rich Razzleberry and Pear Pizzazz.

Valentine Friend

Valentine's Day will be here before you know it! Have you made your cards? Here is a very easy card using the Heart Framelits dies. I used it to cut a heart through the top layer of my card on the right hand side. Then I adhered a red heart to the inside of my card, again using the Framelit die. I stamped the heart on the right with the I (Heart) Hearts stamp set and I cut the heart out by hand. Friend was made using the With All My Heart stamp set. I embossed the front of my card and the heart on the left with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Easy!

Another Blossom Punch Card

Here's another card I made using the new Blossom Punch and Mixed Bunch stamp set found in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog. I really love this stamp set and punch. There are so many different ways to use it! If you saw my lollipop holders a few weeks ago, you'll notice that I made my card using one of those designs. My colors are Concord Crush and Rose Red. Love the combination!

Blossom Punch

I hope you are having a nice long weekend! I love it when I have a three day weekend, especially after the long week I had teaching my second graders this week! This was our first week back from our Winter vacation and it is always hard to get back into a regular schedule. I imagine the kids were pretty tired too!

Today my card uses the new Blossom punch and Mixed Bunch stamp set. I really do love this stamp set. I used both of these new products on my Lollipop holders that I showed yesterday. I have also used our new 3/8 inch Pleated Satin Ribbon. It is a beautiful ribbon and comes in four colors. My card uses Blushing Bride but it also comes in Pear Pizzazz, Riding Hood Red and Baja Breeze. The colors that I've used are not ones that I normally would use (Blushing Bride and Perfect Plum) but I was happy with the results. I used a little bit of Pear Pizzazz for the center of my flowers and popped them up with a dimensional.

Lollipop Holders

Today I have some lollipop holders that I made for my Club members this week. I bought some See's lollipops to place inside. This inspiration for this project comes from Jody Johannsen.

I used quite a few NEW products from the Occasions Mini Catalog! I had fun using my new crafting supplies! I used the new Blossom punch along with Mixed Bunch which is a new stamp set that coordinates with the punch. I used our new Large Pearls and the Twitterpated buttons. My hearts were made with the new Framelits Dies that are used with the Big Shot. The hearts are graduated - I used the three smallest ones (there are six altogether).

Another Lattice Die Card

Today I have another card using the Lattice Die. This time I used Spice Cake paper and Soft Suede cardstock. Yesterday I ran my DSP and Lattice piece through an embossing folder in the Big Shot. I didn't do it with card but kind of wish I had. It adds a bit more texture. What do you think?

I had fun today! I was able to work on several cards and play around in my craft room. My craft room is actually one wall of my bedroom but I still like to call it my craft room. This card was inspired by one I saw on Andrea Walford's Paper Crafters Library website. I used the Lattice Die with my Big Shot to create the center section. Here is a card my Hostess Club members made last month. I used several items from the Holiday Mini to make it: Mica flakes, Snow Burst Embossing folder, and Shaker Frames. Sour Cream Containers

My project today are some sour cream containers that I made tonight for my Hostess Club group. I put a little thank you inside for each of them to thank them for their recent order. They are really very easy to make and I think they turned out cute!

Enjoy a Treat

You could definitely say I am thinking about candy these days and how to incorporate it into my projects. It must be because Halloween is not too far away!

I've made a purse like today's project before but it was much larger and I put 3x3 cards in it . You can see it HERE. I changed the measurements up a bit so that it could hold a small piece of candy instead. I tried making it with different paper but then decided to make my own DSP again although this time I used different colors: Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz and Cajun Craze. Normally I would have used Old Olive but I checked my Color Coach and it recommended Pear Pizzazz. I used my Big Shot (of course) and the Scallop Circle #2 die as well as my Perfect Dots embossing folder. My purse strap is used with Peach Parfait 1/2 inch Stitched-Poly Ribbon. I will be making more of these with some different colors and will post them soon.

Nugget Purse

This little purse is the perfect size for two pieces of candy. It could be given to someone to brighten their day or it would be a cute shower favor. The idea for this purse was inspired by a project I saw on Stamping School.com but I changed it up a little bit to make it my own. You can see the candy in the picture below.

The paper I used on the front of my purse and to wrap around the candy is Paisley Petals. Instead of putting paper on the lower half of the purse, I chose to use my Big Shot and emboss the paper. I don't know if you can see it, but on the front of the purse there's a little Old Olive brad to simulate a snap on the purse. I used velcro to close the purse shut and used our new Ruffled Ribbon in Lucky Limeade for my strap.

To Brighten Your Day

Happy Monday! I hope you had an enjoyable weekend! I was able to do some stamping but not enough!!

This box is very similar to one I posted a few weeks ago and you can see it HERE. I used a different stamp set on this box - French Foliage - but the colors are the same as the box in the previous post.

I made a bow and tag and attached it to the top. I meant to round all of the corners of my tag but of course remembered after I had attached my bow and it was too then too difficult to insert my punch. Sometimes there's lots of trial and error while you are creating! Only one corner is adhered to the box with glue dots and some dimensionals. I used the Kraft Gift Boxes from the Holiday Mini. These boxes are a perfect size, not too big and not too small. I am going to give a gift card to someone that could use some cheering up and thought I would put it in this box on top of some shredded cardstock.

Batty for You

Today I have another mini pizza box that I was able to make pretty quickly. I used the Batty for You stamp set which has so many cute images that it is always hard to decide which one I want to use. Each of my scalloped layers and the two round circles are popped up with dimensionals. In this size box you could put candy, a small gift or 3x3 cards and envelopes.

Today I have another card for you using the Dahlia Fold technique. I used the same DSP that I used HERE but simply reversed my paper as I was folding it. French Foliage Revisited

I had so much fun last week playing with my French Foliage set that I decided to play with it some more over the weekend. These colors make me think of Fall and I am so wishing for cooler weather -- the kind where you need a sweater, not too cool, not too hot. Last week it was 90-100 degrees here. Whew! Too hot for me in September.

I started my card by stamping my leaf in Cajun Craze in random places around my Very Vanilla cardstock. Cajun Craze it not a color I usually gravitate to but in the last week I've been reaching for it a lot. Then I used the same stamp and used Pumpkin Pie. My green leaf was stamped with Old Olive. Something else that can be done, which I did not do on this card, is to sponge the same colors all over the images. I did try it on another card I made over the weekend but I didn't like the effect. I have done this with other stamps though and it can have a very beautiful effect. My sentiment is from a new stamp set called Friendly Phrases in the Idea Book and Catalog.

Glitter Queens Blog Hop Day 5

I had only planned to have one post all week but your kind words made me want to rush home from work each day and create! :) Thank you!

This week I have incorporated a stamp from It's a Wrap Holidays into each of my projects and in this card "4 You" is also from that stamp set. I punched it out with a 3/4 inch Circle Punch. It is attached to a 1 inch circle of Soft Suede cardstock. I put some rhinestones around the edges of it because I felt like it needed a little bling.

My flower is made using our new Spice Cake DSP with a piece of Victoria Crochet Trim behind it. I used the Dahlia Fold technique to make my flower. I made another one in June that you can see here. I ran my Soft Suede cardstock through the Finial Press embossing folder and used my Snail adhesive to attach it to a piece of Pool Party.

Glitter Queens Blog Hop Day 4

Thank you for joining us on Day 4 of the Glitter Queens Blog Hop! I have another project for you using the stamp set It's a Wrap Holidays and one of the new Kraft Gift Boxes in the Holiday Mini Catalog. The approximate size of the box is 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 and it is made from food-safe material. It is is perfect for a small gift, a cupcake, cookies or chocolates!

As I did on the Give Thanks card earlier in the week, I made my own DSP on Very Vanilla cardstock. I used a different stamp set called Day of Gratitude. This set was in a mini catalog last year and I was so happy to see it in the 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog. I just love it. I used Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and Old Olive ink to stamp three different images. Then I ran each of the pieces through my Big Shot with the Perfect Dots embossing folder although that isn't showing up in my picture I mounted each one to a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock and wrapped it up with Old Olive Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. I also ran my tag through the Big Shot and used an Antique Brad to attach it to the ribbon.

I have continued to enjoy all of your wonderful comments. Thank you so much. I did have one person ask if I have any videos. I do not at this time but it is something that I really want to try and hope to have on my blog in the very near future.

Glitter Queens Blog Hop Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of the Glitter Queens Blog Hop! I hope you've enjoyed all of the wonderful projects so far from all of us on the hop! I had only planned to make the three projects from day one but all of your wonderful comments inspired me to create another little project using It's a Wrap Holidays and yes, chocolate!

This time I colored my EEK stamp with my Stampin' Write Markers in Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black so that I could just color in the word EEK and the cute spider. I punched it out with a one inch circle punch and layered it with another circle punch, a 1 3/4 inch Scallop Circle and a 2 3/8 Scallop Circle. I used my paper piercer around the edges of each scallop circle. I added a rhinestone which makes the bag sparkle! It is actually a very easy project to make and it would be quite easy to make several for friends and co-workers. The candy fit perfectly in the small cello bag that I adhered inside with a small piece of Sticky Strip. I made two holes at the top using my Crop-a-dile and tied it up with a piece of 3/8 inch Taffeta Ribbon in Basic Black. The DSP is again from Pick Your Poison, the same pack that I used on my boxes on Day 1. If you would like to make one, you can find a tutorial here.

Glitter Queens Blog Hop!!!!!!!

Welcome to our first Glitter Queens Blog Hop!! We are all very excited that you have joined us. You can visit us throughout the week and our hop posts will be at the top of our blogs. Our hop will continue until Friday, September 9th. You can visit as many times as you would like.

I have several projects for you and at the end of my post you will have a chance to win some Blog Candy! I am showcasing the brand new stamp called It's a Wrap Holidays which can be found in the Holiday Mini. It is such a versatile set because you can stamp with it on Stampin' Up! cardstock or use labels that you purchase at your local office supply store.

I love the colors in this card because they make me feel as though Fall is almost here! First, I made my own DSP by using Cajun Craze, More Mustard and Old Olive to stamp leaves from the set French Foliage. I stamped "Give Thanks" on Very Vanilla cardstock, cut them out and used my corner rounder on each of the corners. I popped them up with dimensionals and finished the card with a piece of Old Olive satin ribbon.

For my next project I made a box using It's a Wrap Holidays and Batty for You to decorate the outside. I used address labels to stamp EEK! and wrapped them around chocolate which are inside the box. I have to admit that quite a few pieces of chocolate were consumed while wrapping the chocolate! My box base and top are made out of Pumpkin Pie cardstock. I used a piece of Pick Your Poison DSP, also from the Holiday Mini. The scallop is one of our Big Shot dies called Scallop Squares Duo. The cute bat, pumpkin, cat and EEK are sitting on a piece I punched out with the Postage Stamp punch. Below you can see a picture of the top and bottom, side by side.

My last project is a box I made using the Big Shot and the Bigz Clear Scallop Square die.

I originally saw this style of box on Angie Juda's blog using the smaller scallop that I used on my previous box. I played around with it and came up with this bigger sized one. The bigger the box, the more candy you can put in it!! I used another piece of DSP from Pick Your Poison. For my shredded material, I thinly cut Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black cardstock and then scrunched it up into a ball. You could also put it through your paper crimper. My purse handle is our new Scallop Dots ribbon attached with a Designer Printed Brad.

I liked her card so much that I tried to create my own using the new DSP, Spice Cake. I also used one of our newer punches that I had never used before, the Lace Ribbon Border. Amazing Fold Card

My card today is called the Amazing Fold Card. Many demonstrators learned this card technique at a Stampin' Up! event and I thought it was so cute that I wanted to create my own! I used the new Spice Cake DSP that I am just in love with! I also used one of the new In Colors, Pool Party. At first I wasn't sure if I liked this color but I have completely changed my mind!! Gatefold Card

I love this new stamp set! It is called Triple Treat Flower and can be found on page 18 in the Idea Book and Catalog. What I especially like is that I can use punches (Fancy Flower, 5 Petal Flower and 1/2 inch circle punch) instead of cutting it out. I used dimensional to pop up all of the layers. I also used the new Houndstooth embossing folder. I also used Pool Party, one of the in In Colors this year!

I am attending a baby shower tomorrow and made this card using a stamp set that I received when I went to Convention. It is just one of the perks of being a demonstrator and attending this once a year fun event! It is a cute set called Easy Events. It is very versatile and you can find it on page 57 in the Idea Book and Catalog. I also used Dazzling Details which is in the new Holiday Mini which goes live on September 1st. Pennant Parade

Today's card uses the new stamp set called Pennant Parade. I also used our new builder punch Petite Pennants Builder. My colors are Elegant Eggplant and Melon Mambo with Elegant Eggplant scallop dots ribbon. It is very colorful in person. There are so many different things you can do with this stamp set and punch. Button Buddies #2

Here's another card using the cute set, Button Buddies. I wanted to use some of our 1/2 inch scallop dots ribbon in pretty in pink but I didn't have any. I still think it looks pretty darn cute! I have several baby showers coming up and this might be one of the cards that I use. I used several new items on my card such as the Houndstooth embossing folder. I think I use my embossing folders on almost every single card that I make. I love the texture that they add. I also used the sentiment Petite Pairs. I love this color combination! I never would have thought to use so much black on a card but I saw one by Gretchen Barron using this stamp set and these colors. It really is a fun new set in the Idea Book and Catalog 2011-2012 called Button Buddies. I hope this inspires you to give this stamp set a try.

Another Convention Swap

This is another one of my convention swaps. I used one of our new stamp sets called Delicate Doilies. I stamped my image with Versamark, put white embossing powder over it and hit it with my heat tool. After that I used my sponge dauber and used Pretty in Pink ink in the center. When I first started making cards for this swap we were told to make 100 cards. Then later that number went down to 66 but I had already embossed 100 images! One of the big highlights of convention is swapping. I joined three organized swaps and this was one card that I made. I finally figured out that an assembly line was the best way to get the cards completed. I used the stamp set Flower Fest. I stamped the flower with Versamark on Pretty in Pink cardstock and then used white embossing powder. I punched the flower out with our 2 3/8 scallop punch. I used my Big Shot a lot for this card - I love my Big Shot.

Wait until you see what great products for the Big Shot are going to be in the HOLIDAY MINI! We were given a copy of the Holiday Mini at Convention and saw first hand many of the new products! Convention Pictures

Aren't these flowers CUTE??? There were many displays around the convention and this one really caught my eye. Who knew you could make something so adorable with buttons!

This next picture shows Main Stage. The word GROW would continually change and be a different color. It was huge and very striking. This is where we would go for General Sessions with all of the demonstrators. The theme this year is GROW and many of the displays show gardening tools, plants, flowers, etc.

This last picture is of Dawn Griffith (my upline) and I. I met Dawn and her very nice husband on the first day of convention (we live in different parts of the US).

Convention 2011

I just returned from attending my first Stampin' Up! convention in Utah! What a wonderful, exciting experience! I can't wait to go again next year! Each first year attendee received this green pin. The convention was a fun, filled four days. I took many pictures and I will post some in the next few days. I also participated in three swaps and I will post some of those as well. I made 180 cards and boy, was it a bit stressful making that many but I wish I had made more! Everyone was swapping cards right and left. I felt pretty good about making as many as I did but at the airport one gal told me she made NINE HUNDRED. Oh my.

Stampin' Up! really knows how to put on a good convention. I received many free stamp sets and so many great ideas. I am off to download all of my pictures (at least a thousand) to my computer! Thanks for stopping by!

Here is a sneak peek of a stamp set in the new 2011-2012 Catalog that goes live on July 1st. This set is called Cherish Friendship and it comes with two other cute stamps. I love cherries at this time of year so I was drawn to this set. I colored it in using my Watercolor pencils and blender pen. My sentiment is from a current set called Fabulous Phrases. I've had Fabulous Phrases for a while but just started using it recently. There are 30 different words that can be used. I think it is becoming a favorite of mine! Thank you for stopping by! The colors in my card were inspired by a Vera Bradley bag that I have. I love purple, blue and green together. This is a cute card using Sunny Fun in the Summer Mini catalog. We made this at my Hostess Club meeting and some people chose to use the popsicle image. There are three images in all and they are all adorable! I think this is my favorite set in the mini catalog. I used my watercolor pencils and crayons again with my blender pen. This time though I put Crystal Effects on the thongs to make them look shiny. If you haven't used Crystal Effects before, it looks like a glue but dries shiny. A really nice effect!

On the Grow

A post three days in a row! I'm on a roll! This card uses another stamp set from the Summer Mini catalog and it's called On the Grow. I used a combination of watercolor crayons and pencils along with a blender pen. I stamped the image with Staz-On first so that the ink wouldn't bleed. I am usually very intimidated by coloring an image like this but I am really happy with how it turned out. Just doing it and practicing, is what I needed. A trick I used with the crayons was to put some of the color on a scrap piece of Whisper White and then I picked it up from there onto my blender pen. I added some small pearls in the center of some of the flowers. I was so excited last year when Stampin' Up! started carrying these pearls and I use them every chance I can! Dahlia Fold

My card today uses paper that will be retiring at the end of the month called Lap of Luxury. I used the Dahlia Fold to make my focal point using the 1 3/4 inch circle punch. I am really happy with how it turned out! The sentiment I used is from a retiring set called Great Friend. I love this stamp set and am so sorry to see it go. I will have to find a new favorite in the new catalog which goes live on July 1st! I have used "for you" on so many cards. I stamped it on the 1 3/8 x 5/8 punch which is also retiring. Flower Fest

I am finally on vacation and have time to post cards that I've done over the past month! I made this card for my Hostess Club meeting on Thursday. I used the stamp set Flower Fest from the current mini catalog. I stamped the flowers with Versamark and then used white embossing powder. Using my sponge dauber I added Regal Rose to the center. I am really happy with the way it turned out! I'm looking forward to making the card with different colors and the other flowers that come in the set. Today I have another 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 card that again is a patchwork design. This time I ran all of my Greenhouse Gala DSP, Concord Crush DSP, and Pear Pizzazz cardstock pieces through an embossing folder in my Big Shot. It is a pretty easy card to make. I also used 1/2 inch Stitched Poly Ribbon in Concord Crush. My sentiment was made using the Scallop Oval punch but the outside scallop was made using the Movers and Shapers Punch window. Inlaid Embossing Technique

Here is a card that is so bright and cheerful which is nice with all the rain we've had. Flowers will be popping up soon, I hope. My card "sits" on a Rose Red square scallop. The card itself is on Pacific Point. Before running my Whisper White cardstock through my Big Shot, I punched a Rose Red 5 Petal Flower with a Boho Blossom flower in the center with Daffodil Delight.

I used the Little Leaves Sizzlit and glued my two leaves underneath my flower. Then I ran it through my Big Shot using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder which really gives it a neat look. Thank you was stamped with Pacific Point on the Word Window punch and attached to the Modern Label punch. I popped it up with dimesionals. Scallop Friend

I'm on a roll with my postings!! It is funny how you can start out making one card and end up with something completely different. That is what happened with this card although I am very happy with how it turned out. It was pretty quick and easy to make. I used my Big Shot, of course. The base is the Scallop Circle Bigz Die. I cut out the flower with Lap of Luxury DSP and Concord Crush cardstock using the Flower Folds die. I ran the base of the card and the middle flower in the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. I love the look that dimensions give and used them on each layer. I love our pearls and thought they gave it a nice finished look. Thank you for stopping by! Flower Quilt Card

Here's another card I worked on yesterday using the Fun Flowers die again. I cut out squares using the 1 1/4 inch punch out of Lap of Luxury DSP and Concord Crush cardstock. I actually worked on this for hours using three different colors of cardstock and two colors of DSP. I would try one pattern, not like it and try another and another . . . . . In the end this is what I decided upon. I ran the cardstock pieces through an embossing folder after I punched them out. It is quite a large card but will still fit in the envelopes that Stampin' Up! sells. The embossed pieces make the card feel really elegant. If you have any questions, please let me know. I had a chance to play today and created this card. The colors make me feel as though Spring is right around the corner! My inspiration came from a card made by Sage Kimble over at Stamping Madly. Inlaid Embossing Technique

I can't believe how long it has been since I last posted. Life has definitely been busy. Today I am showing a card we made at my Hostess Club. I made it using the Inlaid Embossing Technique and it is based on a card I saw on Chris Kolly's blog. I pretty much copied her card but changed the sentiment. It is a very easy technique and I would like to try it with different punches and stamps.

To make the card, I punched all of my hearts out and glued them down on Whisper White cardstock. Then I ran it through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice Embossing folder. It is a really neat technique and I hope you will give it a try! Let me know if you have any questions!

Just for You Bag

Today's post is a bag I decorated with cardstock and our designer series paper Autumn Spice. I love this paper and the fact that it is a heavyweight paper. I ran my pieces of Early Espresso through my Big Shot using the Perfect Polka dots embossing folder. My leaves were stamped with the French Foilage stamp set and my sentiment came from the set Afterthoughts which is a level 1 hostess set. I used my Early Espresso marker instead of an inkpad because there were more words on the stamp but I just wanted, Just for you. It really made a plain bag very decorative and it didn't take long at all. Thanks for stopping by!

3x3 Cards

I've been making a large amount of 3x3 cards to take with me to a Holiday Boutique on Saturday. I think they turned out cute and were very easy to make. I used two of my Big Shot embossing folders: Perfect Polka Dots and Petals a Plenty. I used the Perfect Punches stamp set which is really one of my favorites. Here is another Christmas card I made. I based my card on a card I saw in the Holiday Mini on page 15. I made a few changes and used Garden Green with Cherry Cobbler. I always like to use my embossing folders with my Big Shot and used it this time on the Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White. I also used the new Decorative Label punch on page 25 in the mini. Joy at Christmas

This card is a little bit difficult to see in the picture but it is VERY pretty in person. It was very simple to make but really looks very elegant. The Northern Flurry textured impressions folder (can be found on page 26 in the Holiday Mini) transorms plain cardstock to a beautiful background! I added a few rhinestones in the center of three snowflakes. I used the Perfect Punches set for my sentiment and punched it out with my 1 3/4 inch scallop punch! I popped it up with Stampin' Dimensionals! The inspiration for this card came from Pennie McCallum.

Cracked Glass Technique

We made this card at one of my Big Shot classes and everyone really enjoyed making it. I used the Cracked Glass technique and in person, the butterfly is very shiny. To make the butterfly I sponged three different colors on our Presto Patterns paper and then cut it out using my Big Shot and the Bigz Beautiful Butterflies die. Then I used clear embossing powder and my heat tool. I repeated the process three times. Very easy for such a pretty look! I like what the pearls do for the card and I think they are my favorite new SU! product! My inspiration for this card came from Dayanna Donng. This is a little purse we made at my Big Shot Class. It is pretty easy to make and I think it turned out so cute. I used two cellophane bags on the inside and made some 3 x 3 cards. You could also put a gift card on one side too! My inspiration for this bag came from Sandy Hancock's site. She has great directions there too! I love this new set, Day of Gratitude, which can be found in the Holiday Mini! I was able to make this card pretty quickly. I stamped my images with Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight onto Whisper White. Then I ran it through my Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. My scallop is also in Cherry Cobbler and I stamped Thank You (also in the Day of Gratitude set) in Cherry Cobbler too. I love these new colors. I hope this inspires you to give it a try! Sorry that I haven't posted very often. I am a full time teacher and school started a month ago. I am still trying to get caught up and find time (which I really haven't) to sit and stamp. Here is another card I made using the Owl punch. It is just like one I already posted but it uses different colors. I used Early Espresso cardstock and Greenhouse Gals DSP.

Just a Little Note

I've been gone too long! The last month has had some challenges and I wasn't able to sit and create, at all. I have a Big Shot class on Tuesday so I spent yesterday creating some projects. This is one of them using the cute new owl punch. It is so much fun to use and the little owl will always look different with every card you make! I used the Scallop Square Bigz die. The white part of the card lifts up and sits on the square scallop. I got the inspiration for this design from Andrea Walford's blog. I also used the square lattice embossing folder. I like the look but sometimes when I use that folder my project doesn't lay as flat as I would like but it sure is cute. The sentiment is from one of the level 2 Hostess stamp sets called Apple Blossom.

I have received my shipment of new items from the catalog but I haven't had a chance to create anything yet! I am hoping to play will all of my new fun stuff today. I am most excited about the pearls and rhinestones!! If you missed them, they are on page 188 in the new catalog!

Here is a card I made several weeks ago for a workshop. It uses the Island Oasis Designer Paper from the Summer Mini. I love this paper and will be sad when it goes away on August 31st. The stamp set I used was Tropical Party. It is a very quick and easy card to make except that you have to cut the flowers out which really goes pretty quickly. Flower Fancy Favor

Here is another "box" using the Fancy Favor die. This time I attached a flower to it that I made with the Circle Scallop punch. I've seen these flowers on numerous blogs but I am not quite sure where I found the tutorial. I always like to give credit where it is due but I truly don't remember where I found this. The paper that I used can't be purchased after today but truly it would look cute with any paper. Stampin' Ups paper is two sided so that makes it very easy to get different looks. I love my Big Shot!

Butterfly Box

I made this little "box" several weeks ago using the Bigz XL Fancy Favor die and the Big Shot. Recognize the stamp set? Yes, it is the Watercolor Trio again. I used Very Vanilla and Bashful blue cardstock. Again I used my Stampin' Write markers in Bashful Blue and Old Olive.

I found this project at Create with Connie and Mary Summer Edition. I plan to make some 3x3 cards to put inside. It would make a great gift for someone!

As with my card yesterday, I used my Stampin' Write markers to get multiple colors. Satin ribbon in Whisper White finished it off! A very quick and easy card to make!

Today's card was made with a set from the Summer Mini catalog called Watercolor Trio. It is so easy to make a card that is beautiful with this set. In person it really is very pretty. I used my Stampin' Write markers in Old Olive, Rose Red and Elegant Eggplant. After coloring the stamp with the markers, I huffed on them and then stamped. I have the clear mount set which it made it easy to see exactly where I wanted to stamp. I was able to make the card very quickly. When you use the markers, each card will turn out differently and be unique! I got my inspiration for this card and the card I will post tomorrow from Pennie McCallum. You can see her card here.

Kaleidoscope Flowers

I tend to make cards with many layers but tried to simplify the process with this card. I've tried to show that you can make a card with just a few supplies.

All of the paper I used is retiring at the end of the month. Unfortunately the cardstock has sold out but the Kaleidoscope Designer Series paper is still available. I used a product for the first time with this card called Build a Brad. With this product you can make your own brad! Using my 1/2" circle punch I took the center of another flower on a scrap of Kaleidoscope and built a brad with it! Can't wait to try it with other papers and stamps!

Chocolate Box

I made this cute little box using the Bigz XL Matchbox die with the Big Shot. The die also comes with three tags and that is what I used on my box (it is cut out of Rose Red). The paper is Island Oasis from the Summer Mini. I cut small strips of paper and covered the chocolate with it. It is a very easy box to put together and there are so many different ways to decorate the top. I saw a recent post from a fellow blogger who added a little easel card to the top. Cottage Wall Fancy Folds

Here is another card using the the Bigz XL Fancy Folds die. It quickly makes a very pretty card! This time I used Cottage Wall DSP on Old Olive cardstock. I used the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder. I haven't used this embossing folder in some time but it really does give a beautiful effect. I need to start using it more! For my sentiment I punched out Rich Razzleberry cardstock with the Modern Label punch and then stamped my sentiment using the same punch but in Old Olive. I just cut the Rich Razzleberry punch in half and it gives the illusion that it is longer!

Did you know that ALL of our papers are retiring in the big catalog?? It will be hard to say goodbye to some of my favorites but that means that the new catalog will have all NEW paper. Island Oasis Flower

This is a card I made using the Big Shot and the Bigz XL Flower Folds die. It makes four different sized flowers. I didn't use the largest one on this card. I also used the new Designer Series paper called Island Oasis which is now in the Summer Mini. For the textured design I used the Square Lattice embossing folder which is also used with Big Shot (this can also be found in the Summer Mini catalog). I made this for my Big Shot Club today. I have a group of women who are buying the Big Shot on the four month plan and they get four free classes from me! Spring Pinwheel

Here is another pinwheel card we made at my Hostess Club a last week. I posted another pinwheel card a few months ago and you can see it here. For this card I used the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP and the card base is Razzleberry. The scallop oval and base for my pinwheel is Melon Mambo cardstock. These are fun to make and so easy!

Here's another card using the Elegant Trio stencil. This time I used Elegant Eggplant and Rose Red. I think this is such a beautiful combination. Both colors are so vivid and it is quite striking. I also used the Perfect Polka Dots impression folder. This embossing folder was in the Occasions Mini catalog but can still be ordered (#117335). I love this folder and have used it for so many of my cards. It just adds such an extra touch to the card. Elegant Flower

I have been so busy this month and my blog has been neglected. I am a teacher and between Open House and report cards, I haven't had a chance to play with my stamps like I would like to! I did have a Hostess Club meeting last week though and created this card for it. I used a stencil from the 2010 Definitely Decorative insert called Elegant Trio (page 11). I made this card using Vintage Vogue from the Occasions Mini. (Don't forget that this catalog is only good until April 30th and then we will have a brand new one!) I also used the Butterfly punch - for the bottom one (not sure if you can see it), I used Bashful Blue and for the one on top I used our cardstock vellum. After I made this I thought that the vellum butterfly would look really pretty if it were run through the Big Shot. I will post another one showing that look which is really beautiful. I used a half pearl from the Pretties Kit for the center of the butterfly and used a glue dot to adhere it. The paper is our Designer Series paper in Bashful Blue. Color Renovation!

Stampin' Up! announced on Tuesday that we will have some new color collections in July! Some colors are retiring, some In Colors are being brought back and there will be some brand new colors as well! Two of my favorite In Colors, Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo, will be staying and not retiring! This is exciting news! I can't wait to see the new colors.
