More Convention Swaps

Today is the first day of school in the area where I live.  I retired from teaching (the last grade I taught was second grade) a year ago and today marks the second, first day of school, that I've "missed."  Yes, I do miss it but being able to visit my granddaughter whenever I want sure does make up for it. My friends have been busy getting their classrooms ready for their students.  It is only Tuesday but they are already exhausted because they've put so much into preparing everything to make sure that their rooms are inviting and welcoming and that the first day is fun for their students.  I'm thinking about all of them today!!!

Convention Gift

This is one of the cute gifts that my roommate, Kristina, gave me while we were at Convention.  It is a  writing pad, which I always need lots of, decorated just beautifully! Love this idea and I really want to make some!!!

Convention Recuperation Time

I'm still thinking about my fun time at Convention this year! Life has been so busy that I haven't even had time to look at all of my great swaps and take pictures to share with you!  I took this picture at the Stampin' Up! home office.  It is a pretty decoration using our card stock. Back to Reality

I am home from Convention. I flew home Sunday morning and met quite a few demonstrators at the airport. I had a very enjoyable flight home! I missed my husband while I was gone and it was so nice to see him when he picked me up at the airport. He's been very patient listening to all of my Convention stories!

Today I have another 3x3 card that I made for a swap that I was in. I love this balloon paper! Did you know that it is on sale this month? Convention Day 1

Convention starts today and it's a jam packed day! Here's another one of the swaps I made! The elephant is so cute and the little pearl on his eye makes him come alive (although I'll admit it doesn't show up well in the picture). I stamped his ear in Strawberry Slush, cut it out and popped it up with a dimensional. I hope to have lots of pictures to show tomorrow. Have a great day!

Convention

I'm heading to Salt Lake City in just a few hours! I will be joining 5,800 demonstrators from all over the world for the Stampin' Up! 25th Anniversary Convention! Can't wait! Here's a 3x3 card that I made for one of my swaps. I made 81 of these and will be receiving 80 of them in return tomorrow!

Heading to Salt Lake City Tomorrow

Life has been so darn busy the last few weeks.  Tomorrow I leave for the Stampin' Up! Convention in Salt Lake City.  I've been busy for weeks making cards to swap with other demonstrators.  I'm in four organized swaps, which are finished, bagged up and in my carry-on bag.  I have a few more to finish up to swap with others outside of the organized ones.  I'll share my swaps with you over the next few days as well as some pictures once the convention begins.  There are always so many displays and great ideas! I'm looking forward to seeing my friend, Kristina, in Salt Lake City tomorrow!  She lives in Kansas and I last saw her a year ago at Convention.  I am very much looking forward to catching up with her although we email each other on a regular basis. It is different actually seeing someone in person.  I can't wait! I'm off to go pack!
